Move Eye Point and Center of Interest to create an Infinite Zoom
Updated
When zooming with the scroll wheel the Eye Point of the view moves closer to the Center of Interest. As the Eye Point gets closer to the Center of Interest the zooming appears to slow down preventing you from zooming in any further. If you experience this condition just hold down the Option key (Mac) or Alt key (Win) while zooming inward and the Eye Point and the Center of Interest both move together allowing you to move the entire view while zooming. The following steps are recommended when zooming inward slows down:
Zoom back out to move Eye Point away from Center of Interest.
Hold Option key (Mac) or Alt key (Win) and zoom inward about half way.
Release key and continue zooming.
Note, this technique ensures you maintain a good distance between the Eye Point and Center of Interest for future zooming.
