Place On and Imprint 2D shapes
- Create any number of 2D shapes.
- Select Place On tool and choose Face Centers option in Tool Options.
- Hold Shift key and pick all 2D shapes then release Shift key.
- Hold Cmd key (Mac) or Ctrl key (Win) and click on one face of object.
- The shapes are placed on that face and you can move and rotate the widget to control how shapes are oriented on the face.
- Select Imprint tool.
- Hold Shift key, pick all 2D shapes, release Shift key, then click on object.
- Observe all shapes are imprinted into the object.
- Use Reshape tool and drag the newly inserted faces to create holes or extrusions.
- Note, Imprint tool works only with 2D shapes on flat planar faces. For curved objects see Tip Here - “Embossing”.
