The Datasmith plugin uses form•Z’s Shaded material representation as the basis for Twinmotion materials.
In most cases, if you replace a form•Z generated material with a native Twinmotion material (in Twinmotion), the latter material will remain assigned when you re-load your form•Z project.
By default, materials are translated into a generic type. Including the word metal, frosted, or emitter anywhere in the material’s name field will further refine its appearance (material name hints are not case-sensitive).
Generic
Good for representing a wide variety of materials, including paint, plaster, concrete, plastic, clear or colored (but not etched) glass.
Metal
Use for all metals, dull and polished.
Frosted
Use frosted glass, etched glass, translucent plastics.
Emitter
Use for representing glowing materials such as light bulbs, neon signs, and LED strips.
