If you want to edit objects individually after they have been grouped together, you can remove an object from the group, Unlock the group, or Ungroup the group altogether.
To remove a single object from a group, go to the Objects palette and find the Group. Drag the object in question out of the group hierarchy. It is now excluded from the group.
If the Unlock Groups setting is enabled in the Edit drop down menu, objects within groups can be edited individually. This option can also be toggled via the icon in the Edit Options palette located in the bottom right corner of the Tool Dock.
The Ungroup operation disbands the Group altogether. This can be performed by one of the following ways:
1. Activate the Ungroup tool (located in the Organize toolset) on the Group.
2. Select the Group and choose Ungroup from the Edit drop down menu.
3. Select the Group and press Ctrl + Shift + G (Windows) / CMD + Shift + G
